Well we had another sunny day ahead of us in beautiful Bavaria and decided to head across to Scheidegg in Allgau which is close to Lindau and the Swiss and Austrian Border. It is called Skywalk and we took our own picnic, parked down below in the designated car park (there is a day rate parking fee of about 3... More

Walking in the tree tops. You can either walk up the various levels to the top or take the lift. At the top you are about 120 feet up with great views. If you have children they will enjoy it .There is also a restaurant .Use the tourist allgau card for a reduction on price.

We visited on a clear, sunny day, so the views were good, though not comparable to views from mountains in the area. The Skywalk looks like a solid bridge, but it 'bounces' as people walk on it and this can be a bit diconcerting. One end of the Skywalk turns into a kind of obstacle course... If you start it,... The admission of €9,20 is a bit high. The construction is ingenious but the view is a bit disappointing. It is certainly not the best view along the German Alpine Road!

- There is a different experience by walking on the top of the trees on the metallic frame(skeleton) and then to see the panaromic view of the entire land - small children under 100 cm have the entrance free but general is a bit hard with them to walk through because there are some difficulties on the way - basically,... You can get fantastic views to the lake constance on one side and the hilly Allgäu on the other side. Very nice area around invites for a walk or having lunch in a beautiful atmosphere. Absolutely worth going there if you are close to that area.

Were touring through the area and saw a sign for the Skywalk and figured we'd go do it. The weather wasn't the greatest with low clouds and a mist but we went on it anyways. Couldn't see far but it still was a nice side trip. Would be really cool if you are there on a sunny day!

A great place in the nature of the Allgäu to visit with the entire family. The Skywalk itself is spectacular - even for me, being scared of heights. I felt comfortable up there! Entry is some 9 € per person, with family reductions (we are a bunch of 5 and paid some 31 €). Parking is an extra 2,50 €,... More

We have visited the Skywalk with family from 3 years old to 70 plus years old. The views are spectacular and the park for the kids is also a lot of fun, with a huge covered slide. Best when it is not too cold, but I am sure if you dressed warm enough it would also work. We will certainly... More
