When we visited it was full of flowers as a wedding must have taken place. it sits right in the centre of the town and is well worth a visit.

A magnificent cathedral in a beautifully restored piazza.

A highlight of the visit to the very old town of Gravina. From the window there are great views of the old rock dwellings and Roman bridge. Definitely visit it

Awsome Church
Feb 2017 • Couples
We quickly walked through this church as mass ended. We were probably not supposed to be there, as the priest escorted us out shortly after we arrived. He then locked up the church and went on his way. We did get to enjoy the inside, with ceilings that were gilded in gold, and marble alters. When Father brought us to a back room, it had an encased gold robe and an amazing alter, then he showed us the exit!! Though this was not an appropriate time to visit, we certainly understood the need to lock up this beautiful cathedral. Visiting times are posted, though we did not check, we just walked in after mass.
We recommend this site for the beauty, artworks and spirituality.

An island of peace

Beautiful Italian Romanesque cathedral that has been rebuilt several times. The exterior was originally built by the Normans and has since been altered. The interior is a mixture of Italian Renaissance with Baroque elements. I was there one morning and no one else was in the church. It was a great place to escape the heat and the bustle of the outside world.

Interesting location on the edge of the ravines
May 2015 • Couples
pretty much another beautiful church with beautiful interior. However you get a great view of the ancient early abodes of the earliest people to inhabit Gravina. The deep ravine where caves and dug out rock homes served as their homes, gives pause to think of how difficult life was in those days.

Normal cathedral
Jun 2014 • Family
Honnesty, compare to many church you could see in Italy, this one is very classic, nothing special. Nevertheless, the view from the cathedral is nice so you can go there to make a nice panorama photo
