The address indicated is not the right one: to see the deers and walk around the lake, go to "C. Forestale" (See pictures of the map), South of town Vico del Gargano. You can get free guides from the tourist office. Being with a baby,...More

The Gargano promontory is home to a natural land and marine reserve. Foresta Umbra (Shady Forest) is in the middle of the promontory, and is a nice shady shelter from the summer heat. Unfortunately I had no time to visit it, so I cannot provide...More

Aptly named because of the massive first growth trees blocking the sun. It is the largest deciduous forest in Italy. As one climbs in altitude into the shade in Gargano, the temperature drops maybe 10 degrees C, and the vibe changes from beach to Nature....More

How fantastic you can escape the summerheat of the Gargano coast and spend a few hours in a really cool forrest. It's literally cool, that's a good start. But it's also beautiful, tall trees, very few visitors. So unexpected in this part of Italy. We...More

Hello, I'm sorry but I cannot tell you. We were there on a day that the visitors centre was closed so I don't recall if there was bicycle rental. Regards, HJ
