Nice historic center
Jul 2020

Very characteristic village, in particular the historic center, a UNESCO heritage site. Don't miss the cave and the sanctuary

Great views
Oct 2019
We visited on a Sunday - big mistake. I reckon at least 60 coaches in and out. Parking a nightmare. Go in the week!
Castle interesting, only 2 Euros, lovely views. Main attraction is the shrine next door, heaving with people but worth the climb down into the cave.

Where else are you going to go?
Oct 2019
A rainy day in October and what else were we going to do? And it was only two euros to come in. So, why not? It's a castle, and I'm not sure what's distinctive about it, and the explanations don't make it particularly interesting. Ah, I'm sure the views are much better when it's clear. But for two euros I'd say: why not?

Outside you can not read what is the name of the building....
Sep 2019 • Family
Even if the position would be great, we guessed what a building it could be. When we were inside we could understand that it was that castle that we were looking for...Than we saw that you have to pay for it so our decision were immediate and clear: 2 euro is no price. Or for free in this undecent conditions or a higher price and than much more clean and organized!!

Best of the city. Must be Unesco site instead of basilica.
Aug 2019
Save money from the basilica and come to the castle. Cheap visit and great building if you like castles.

Well preserved but a lot not working
Jul 2019 • Couples
We visited yesterday and where impressed with the layout and signage, in both Italian and English.

There were a number of rooms that has video screens set up to explain the rooms, but none of these were working.

Also the lights were turned off in a number of rooms.

If you are happy to take our money, we would be happy if you provided moneys worth.

Castle in the sky
Oct 2018 • Family
Very interesting piece of local history, and incredibly well-preserved.
Also amazing 360° views over the sea and hills from the ramparts.
Definitely worth a visit.

a nice quiet place to visit
Sep 2018 • Couples
very reasonable ticket price which helps in preservation. worth the visit. not much to see inside but the views make it worthwhile. you can take your time wandering around here without crowds. did walk down some dark tunnels in the castle. okay; not fun for me but others might love it. you can just imagine what it would have been living here back in its prime. if possible see it lite up at night. glad we visited. the day we were here they were filming a small movie so could watch sword fights etc. fun.

Amazing experience, phenomenal views from the town, history all around. If you are anywhere near Puglia - it's a place that's a must!
