If you want to visit a special place, Salina is perfect! It is an ancient salt mine, plenty of activities for children! There is even a promenade in boats (we did it)! Only bad point: avoid going there on week ends, the site is full!

Very interesting, astonishing and full of joy place. For sure worth of visit. Active sight seeing takes even more than 2 hours. It's good to take warm close like swearshirt.

We did not know much about this place so had little expectations.Overall it is a good place that offers new experiences to both adults and children alike. Be it the underground lake and boat experience or the echo chamber everthing is quite interesting.

The combination of old and new is spectacular. Futuristic design creates the impression that you are living together in the past and the future

It is a nice place with great history. The only thing I would take out is the gaming area. I find inadequate to have bowling, billiards and such games in a so special place. Closer to a museum that to an entertainment area Salina Turda...More

Based on other Tripadvisor reviews, we had high expectations. They weren't completely fulfilled. The underground space is quite impressive and has a very nice temperature. Bring a sweater/jacket! Inside there's a lot of fun activities but all at an extra charge (5-20 RON, depending on...More

Absolutely breathtaking place! Suitable for any visitors. Impresive size of old chambers and great concept of this very special leisure center. I was really fascinated!

Turning a massive ex salt mine into a tourist attraction was an excellent idea. However the upper level has artefacts and history of the mine's original use. The deepest parts are used for different activities including bowling, mini golf, play park for the littlies, a...More

You would need to put it into your GPS to plot how far it is. That will also get you the directions to the mine. If you don't have a SIM card for Romania, download maps.me for offline GPS directions. If you do download... More

There are elevators but when it is crowded you should wait a lot:( so try to go in week days. I would recommend to ask if they have a special solutions for the people who can have difficulties while they are walking.

The Salt Mine is a gem, but as others have said, if you do not plan to spend some time in Cluj as well (although you should, if you can), the trip may be a bit of a stretch. Public transportation is not among the best things... More
