It was a very tiring hike, but the view is all worth it. It took us almost an hour before reaching the lighthouse. The people living along the route up the lighthouse were very friendly. We suggest you start going up by 5pm so you get to see the sun set by 6pm. Great view!

The view is very relaxing and peaceful as you watch the ships pass by the nearby Nautical highway. Birds singing and tweeting by the cliff where they peacefully built their nests. We watched the sunset here but didn't wait the sun to go down fully as we might be caught in the middle of the dark.

As this island has electricity only between 6 and 9:30, you are bound to go to sleep before 10 pm. And you will be woken up by the roosters (number of which may actually exceed number of inhabitants of the island or at least it fell like that) early in the morning. Go o the lighthouse to see the sunrise... More

OK you are on Apo Island for the diving and snorkelling, so the lighthouse is never going to be the number one thing on your list of things to do. But it's worth it if you have the time and want a nice walk. It is indeed quite a steep climb, initially up a well paved stepped path. The onto... More

It's quite a walk to the lighthouse but it's well worth it. On the walk you will probably meet people who walk up and down 2-3 ties a day but just take it in their stride.

It was more of a dare, a challenge, that made us decide to go through a rigorous uphill trek under the scorching and ruthless noontime summer sun . . . just to see the Apo Island Lightnouse. And what did we find when we got there? -- An old, decrepit and abandoned lighthouse, closed to everyone. Across from it is... More

Quite a steep walk, nothing up there, just some derelict buildings. The view is ok but definently not worth the walk up. If you do go up, take water andgo before you swim.

After a pleasant walk in the heat along the path with signposting the lighthouse is a very simple structure amongst some uncared for grassland with malnourished goats. However the view was wonderful & worth the 20 min walk up.
