Interesting place for a walk round, didnt pay to go in, staff at desk a bit grumpy - and as others have said its not much inside-so decided not to pay E4.50 each. Was happy to look around outside and take in the views.

The monastery looks great from a distance but really thats where it is at it's best. Not worth the €4.50 entrance fee and there's little choice of restaurants in the surrounding villages. Better to stay on the motorway and get to your destination.
Certainly worth visiting, audio guide available in several languages. Information a bit lengthy, but no problem to skip to next number if desired.
