Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to this beach based upon recommendations of our host in Furiani. It's just off the highway and was a sandy beach. It seemed like only locals were there. There were a couple of shacks selling food. It's clean and seemed very safe. The water was warm and lovely. We only discovered it on our last day before leaving otherwise we would have gone every evening.

Interesting beach area with parking (probably not enough in Summer). Old WWII building dominates and there are several small cafes around it in the summer. Not many facilities. Interesting small boardwalk. Next to lots of still, fresh water, potentially a major mosquito trap in the summer if they bother you. The nearby river is probably best avoided as the flow rate can be very large. There was a major flood in November 2014 and the river area was dangerous for about a week. There are warning signs, but watch out for flash floods and keep away from (south of) the river.
