You can see exhibition of western art of great artists like Van Gough or Matisse in this place without visitting Europe. Of course the collection is not that grand as those in European museum.

My wife is an avid art lover and she really enjoyed the art museum. They have many interesting art exhibits which is not seen elsewhere. Good for art lovers.

If you want to go some where for taking a photos, it is not suitable, the ticket is not cheap...If you have much free time or really want to know deeply of japnese, you can visit here.

The location is close to Tokyo National Museum, the national museum of western arts. You may visit all of three museums with one full day. Specially, for people over 65 they have senior discount.

ホテルは上野駅にも点在してますが思い切って浅草はどうでしょう。東京都美術館へのアクセスは歩いても行けなくありません。緑豊かな所も通れます。そしてホテル近くで、美術館に行く途中合羽橋など、キッチンツールの店も面白いです。
