It is shopping center and restaurant in tokyo, you are very easy to go there by train or bus. There is a variety restaurant shop, you can buy or try any food here. I came one day before Christmas, it is so beautiful, you should come here at night when the lights are turned on.

I stumbled upon this area and was absolutely stunned. It's a beautiful oasis in the otherwise busy Tokyo. I hope it stays that way.

A great place for people watching, especially during the morning and evening rush hour. The outdoor patio at Starbucks and Krispy Kreme are extremely good locations to grab a bite/drink and watch the world go by. The pavement is wide enough that it doesn't feel terribly crowded even at peak hours.

We grabbed a quick coffee or tea and had a sit down dinner and outside bars, with so many choices. Most of the menus in this area also are in Enlish. We stayed in the area so we started and ended our day here.

I only accessed this location traveling between JR Shinjuku Station and the Hotel Century Southern Tower, but after a hot and humid day in other parts of Tokyo, it was wonderful to exit the station and feel the cooling wind generated by the surrounding buildings as I walked back to my hotel. There also appeared to be a free music... More

An elevated walkway with lovely views & great spot to relax. There are a handful of shops like Starbucks & Krispy Kreme. You can spend hours people watching. Didn't check it out at night but would imagine its nicer with all the lights. Not too crowded when we were there.

The adjacent entrance to Shinjuku Station and Southern Terrace provide a modern, more western experience - familiar style coffees are available at Starbucks for example. Stairs and bridges connect Southern Terrace to a variety of destinations as well, making it a convenient meeting place.

This area of Shinjuku is a beautiful area in the JR station New southern exit. There are nice places to sit and enjoy a beautiful sunny day and relax before you start on your journey for the day. This area was near to the hotel we stayed (Hotel Century Southern Tower). There is a Starbucks and Krispy Kream donut shop... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
