We stayed very close to this temple and were pleasantly surprised with it. It is next door to Tokyo Tower and well worth a visit.

Very easy to find and large enough to walk around. Fees to enter inside the buildings so I just walked the outside grounds. Unusual infant statues adorn the right side of the temple park. You cannot miss the pinwheels and hats on the statues. Nice...More
Large temple grounds with a few places you need to pay for admission (Hall of Treasures and mausoleum of shoguns) Most striking is the Unborn children garden. Row upon row of small statutes wearing knit caps with pinwheels blowing in the breeze. Very, very moving.

This location does not have much else to do other than see the temple itself unlike other temples such as sensoji. However if you are in the area visiting Tokyo Tower it wont hurt to take a quick walk to get a very nice picture...More
