This is a very famous Japanese university in the central part of Tokyo. Easy access, rich history. The main Mita campus is compact and has a nice mix of historic and modern buildings.

The western architectural influences at this campus of a very prestigious and historic private university make this an interesting and attractive place to explore.

The campus is known as the oldest institute of higher education in Japan, of course with old age, since established in 1858 as a western education, the university now has a lot of science they are studying. Campus area is quite extensive.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
