Amazing Show!

The winter crystal show was really amazing! With all the lights and music beautifully synced with the performances of the dolphins. :)

Anyone that attends this disgusting place is supporting the cruel confinement of animals. There were two penguins kept in a box! Literally a box, it was no bigger than 30 x 30cm with nothing more than four walls and a mat on the floor. They had no where to go and nothing to do. Right next door to that was... More

Horrible horrible conditions for the animals. The turtle was swimming into the wall over and over. The penguins were staring at the same spot on the wall the whole time we were there. The sea otters lived in little boxes connected by tubes, not nearly big enough. The seals were kept in a ridiculously small enclosure with barely enough room... More

We loved seeing Nemo and Dory and riding the merry go round. The show was amazing and our 4 year old was mesmerised. My husband talked us out of the splash zone, thank goodness, because those guys got WET! The jelly fish room was beautiful and we spent a lot of time in there. Was worth the trip out.

Really fun, beautiful, many fish and clever jelly fish rooms. Interactive, great shows. Definitely a great place to go with small children, teenagers, family. Helpful and friendly.

Ok, we were with two 5 yr old kids. 4 of us costed $51 1. As we entered the first front section. All the tanks were dirty and disgusting. These were interactive computer fish info. 2. There were tanks of jelly fish and a huge tank with various sharks and fishes. 3. We also went to the carousel which costed... More

Friendly to English tourists. The Dolphin show was really good. I loved the huge Manta and generally the water side of the place is good. The animals let the place down though, the penguins, seal and sea lion were in such small, unpleasant looking pens. They looked unhappy and not healthy. Might be upsetting for people who are sensitive to... More

We stopped in our our first night in Tokyo because by the time we got to our hotel, most of the temples and stuff were closing. I found the entry price a bit high, but our hotel key card (we were staying in the area) got us a discount, which was nice. It was still like 1750Y each, which is... More

My first visit to an aqua park and I found it interesting. It is quite colourful and comprised of several chambers displaying various aquatic life forms. There are various shows in a day and tickets are sold according to your choice. High points are the dolphin display and interaction with seals and penguins. A nice place for families to visit.

The Aqua Park Shinagawa does call for a large number of visitors after its renovation and special effect of projected Fireworks images inside the aquarium this summer. In terms of location, it's just 5 minutes on foot from JR Shinagawa station. It should be one of the few aquariums in the middle of city centre in Tokyo and within such... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
