The shrine is beautiful, but I was slightly disappointed. I was hoping to see hand drawn ema, but all were mass-produced and sold on site. However, it is a much smaller shrine where you can observe Shinto practices in a more intimate setting.

This is a must-see when in Tokyo, although it is quite crowded. Spend some time wandering around the shrine as well, as there are many beautiful statues and gardens.

In addition to a typical Japanese Shrine (Jinza) to bring you a peace of mind, this area is famous because of the Japanese Anime LoveLive! back in 2014 - 2016. The Shrine is not a big one and nothing too special if you are not...More

Lovely shrine but after a while they all begin to be very similar. The Kanda festival was going on so that was fun to see. Definitely worth walking around the area.

We decided to visit this shrine because of its IT blessing. We thought it was amusing and I wanted to get a friend a souvenir for his tech. This turned out to be a much better/enjoyable visit than to the other tourist focused shrine. There...More

GO if you are determined to see all the shrines and temples of Tokyo. This one is near Akihabara and up some stairs. MISS if you are all templed out as it is not more redeeming than the next one. TOP TIP - people bless...More

Easy to get to to and so enjoyable because there are very few tourists, mostly locals. Over the road opposite the main entrance is an old temple 'Yushima Seido' and garden with a statue of Confucius that is also worth stopping at, no tourists and...More

Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting
with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day
Japanese education. The area has kept its college town
feel with several university campuses. If you head
towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and
sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores
for students and anyone interested in literature and
the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and
