The JR station and area if you take the green circle line and need to get to ginza. It's the less glitzy neighbourhood next to ginza proper

We were returning to our hotel in Shinagawa after touring Ginza and stopping by the Tokyu Hands store. We were thankful to find this ramen restaurant open near the Yamanote Yurakucho train station at 430 pm. We ordered our food and beverage (miso ramen 980yen...More

We visited in October 2017, with high hopes of finding a multitude of small restaurants and izakays to choose from. Reality was a little different, with maybe a dozen or so places spread out over a 5 minute walk. Still, we found a great place...More

Expect to rub shoulders (literally) with people seated next to you! It's hot and sweaty here. But the food is supposed to be the best of local food- yakitori and beer and much more. These are a bunch of small restaurants built under the train...More

This station is located pretty much between the Ginza and the Marounochi - both fabulous shopping areas. Bic Camera is also located directly outside of the station. Aside from great access to shopping, there are lots of fun small restaurants located directly under the railroad...More

It sists between Matunouchi and Ginza and can be a little tacky particularly around the Yamanote line station. It is however an interesting place and there are some great places to eat and shop nearby.

Yurakucho is a gateway to the Ginza in one direction, and Marounuchi and the Imperial Palace, Hibiya Park in the other station. There is a great fashion street here that takes you to Tokyo Station. BIC's camera is right at Yurakucho Station. For shopping, well...More

The place is quite and shut in the day time, however in the evenings, it goes totallly insane. Lights, music, wafting aromas from the various kitchens, its just fantastic. Built under a railway bridge, it has a very characteristic image all across, with very small...More

Interesting place next to Ginza that has many small drinking holes to enjoy a drink with friends. Under the JR train line has many interesting places.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
