This is absolutely not worth your money. EUR 47, 2 adults & 2 kids, for a walk around max an hour, of animals captured in very small cages, the crocadile basin smells of urine, way too many crodiles no space to move or swim. Absolutely not of this time anymore.

Lovely place - plenty to see
Jul 2020 • Family
We go to France every year and my husband insists on going to this place every single year. But I must admit my son has a great time when we go there. Plenty to see, the bit where you can go and stroke those massive tortoise is amazing. There's also a great outdoor play area which my son enjoyed last year but it was closed this year because of covid 19. I would say visit time approximately 1h30.
Not far from Mont St Michel too if you want a full day out.

This is such an unusual place full of different species of alligators. You can watch them being fed. Then their is the reptile house with some different snakes etc. My favourite is the large tortoises outside. You can get close to them for r a selfie.

great way to spend a few hours
Aug 2019
wide variety of reptiles, tortoises, turtles, snakes, lizards as well as lots of Alligators and crocodilles.
Does what it says on the tin, really.
particularly enjoyed the feeding of the crocodiles and the 'meet the giant tortoises' area

Expensive, but nice couple of hours
Aug 2019
Hubbie and I spent a couple of hours here. It cost €28 so we were expecting quite alot of either displays/animals or preservation/research work being done. Sadly neither were evident.
In its defence we come from Jersey and are members of Durrel (Wildlife Preservation) so are used to very high standards!!

It was a nice couple of hours, feeding the alligators drew a huge crowd and being able to get close to the giant tortoise was interesting.

Great place but too expensive
Aug 2019 • Family
The Alligator Bay ist a great place to encounter snakes, reptiles, tortoises & alligators.
Most signs & descriptions are english/french.
In the Dragon maze there are some unique ideas for Kids... You can walk 'into' various Terrariums.
There is even a small dinosaur park at the compound.
The Treatment of the animals seems to be OK, excluding the guy who fed the tortoises. He lifts them into the vertical and keeps them this way for more than a minute to explain the different sexes.

Almost 50€ for 2 adults & 2 kids (under 12) is too much.

Dissapointed and rude personnel

Before we entered the cahier said we we're prohobited to "block" the paths. We are a group of 42 children and were almost alone in the park. Before entering we had a feeling we weren't allowed to move.

2nd of all the animals have too little enclosures. 20+ alligators and crocodiles squeezed together.

Good place to kill an hr or so.
Jul 2019 • Family
Decided to visit here while on the way back to cherbourg to get the ferry back to Dublin.if you where staying on the des ormes campsite like i was keep the wristband you get as you get a discount on admission. The first part is full of Turtles and tortoise so there not up to much so go on though to the snakes exhibits which will finally lead on to the alligator enclosures. The heat in the alligator enclosures can get unbearable at some times so my kids just wanted to fly through it.alligators wernt up to much but we were there early and I think feeding time was 2:30 so maybe a better time to be there.my 3 girls wernt very into it but was good to kill an hr before the boat.not somewhere I'd rush back to but it's all depending what your kids are into.some may love it.

Great even in November.

Visited with family including two young children (5 and 3) on a chilly day. Lots to see. The alligator/crocodile house was amazing. In warmer months the giant tortoises are out and about in a visitor seating area. Tempted to go again just to experience this aspect.

Something for the kids before Le Mont Saint Michel
Aug 2018 • Family
Hubby and I were desperate to visit ale Mont Saint Michel but we’re worried our 5 year old would enjoy it so when we found out that Alligator Bay was a 5 minutes drive away from the LMSM parking we decided to take a punt in going there first and we are so pleased that we did. The reptile house was fantastic and the tortoises were great, but I never expect3d to see smiling crocs and alligators. They all looked really happy and content. We were there much longer than we had anticipated we would be and enjoyed every second. We got the impression that it is about the conservative on the animals rather than a “zoo”. Highly worth a visit
