Three days of pleasure
Sep 2019
We decided to stay in the Tremiti Islands after watching Gino D'Acampo's TV programme, where he illustrated the local cuisine. We took the Tirrenia ferry from Termoli, which docked at Isole San Nicola, before gettting a very cheap smaller boat across to the neighbouring Isole San Domino. We walked all aorund the 2km long island and found two sandy beaches, both of which were great for snorkelling in crystal clear warm waters. daytime temperatures were in the mid twenties and the nights didn't drop below 15°C in the last week of September, a good time to go as most of the holidaymakers had gone home, so we had plenty of space and choice. Prices are reasonable, you can get an evening meal for less than 12€ if you shop around. I recommend it for shivering British who want a last bit of summer at affordable prices before the winter sets in.

Amazing beach and Islands!

Water was incredible. It was nice and cool which was refreshing when it was 40C! We were on my cousins boat and we toured the islands but went to beach on San Domino.

sure they are pretty islands out in the adriatico (or could be...) with a turquoise sea e delle belle macchie, and that's where it ends...may be not for scuba divers...
for the rest of us, however , it is at the most an expensive day trip. people on the island are not friendly. the hike around san domino takes at the most 3 hours, impressing but no more. san nicolao is seen in two hours. the church was beautifully restored, the rest abbondanato. like everything on the islands. lots of garbage everywhere. this beeing a site of the unesco protection gargano natural protected aerea. are we mistaken? all the italians tourists there we talked to found it schiffoso...

a pity!
