This is nothing but disappointing. Very few actual Balenciaga pieces padded out with other couture of no interest.

I know nothing of fashion and had never heard of Balenciaga. My wife persuaded me to accompany me to this museum. Until May 2018 there is an exhibition of the dresses he made for Rachel Mellon (heard of Carnegie Mellon?) friend of Jackie Kennedy. It...More
This stunning architectural masterpiece appropriately houses an impressive collection of a great master. The building is worth a visit for its own sake but the collections vibrate with beauty in this perfect, magical setting. The rooms are wide, the ceilings high, the light composed by...More
Beautiful museum that was informative re fashion. Due to exhibit change over most of it was closed. Very well done in the one open room.
We talked to the lady at the front desk and she gave us lots of information and brochures. Gorgeous building and great exhibition.
Balenciaga's designs are both classic and timeless. This museum - modern in design - is the perfect showcase for his fashion.
Combination of photos by Echague and dresses by Balenciaga instructive and absorbing. Balenciaga's designs and colours are an art form. Clothes aren't exactly my thing, but I found the exhibition fascinating - like being in an art gallery, which I suppose it is.

Shop selling gorgeous bits and bobs (I bought a fabric covered glasses case, some wacky cards and a fabby Basque beret!).......escalator exterior leading up to the heady heights with views across Getaria....breathtaking.....my...More
As others have mentioned, this is an interesting museum, the displays are attractively presented in a large modern space. The film at the beginning is a must-watch. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the museum was a little hard to find....More
A wonderful museum with displays of the various trends that this designer was famous for...from dresses created for hollywood stars, royalty, the rich and famous! The exhibits highlight the designs that had one famous socialite so enraptured that he even designed and produced her nightwear!
