While the Codorniu tour is set in stunning grounds, the Freixenet tour is hands down a winner. The tour is a lot more interesting, and the cava's better! The tour here involved a long train ride around the cellars. All through abandoned tunnels with empty,...More

We went there to visit without any booking and they were not as accommodating so we just did a cova wine tasting and left. We were not allowed to roam around the gardens unless we had a booking. So we left. Not so suitable for...More

We joined the tour of the property which was both historic and interesting. To see the old workings of this place and then go underground into their caves was a highlight of our visit to Spain. The quality of the staff at the tasting was...More

We went for the second time, now with our young kids, and it really worth for everybody! From learning how the cavas are made since early 1551 to visit all the subterranean cavas where the bottles rest before turn into a great cava!

If the country was run as well as Spanish wineries then it would be a world beater, I have visited a few bodegas and they never fail to impress. The cellars of Codorniu ooze with history and beautiful architecture, the staff have an impressive passion...More

A lot of it is on this little train they have. But there is a lot of walking and some of it is underground. April should be 20 degrees so dress for that but then just take a jacket for the chill when you're underground... More

I took the 9:00 bus but it only got me to the town's center. It was also too late for the 10:00 tour I had booked :(
