Driving to our hotel we noticed the sign of a Castle. So we decided to visit it. And it was really worth while. The buildings consist of three different structures build in different periods. A guided tour shows the interior and tells a lot about...More

The tour was €8, which was necessary to see the inside of the castle. The inside was well decorated and interesting. We felt like we missed some information the guide provided in Italian because it seemed that the English translation was much shorter. That could...More

Guided tour is mandatory if you want to see the interior of the castle, which amongst others contains a huge collection of medieval weapons and armour. Unfortunately taking photos is not allowed. The guide was charming and did an excellent job despite some English language...More

The tour is given in the languages of the group. That will give you time to look around the room e.g. of the very impressive collection of amour and weapons of the time period.

Our family of 4 stopped here during our 5 day stay in Monselice in June. The docent spoke strong English and had deep knowledge of the castle and its history. The site is well preserved. This was a delightful stop, especially on a hot day.

The castle is visitable only by guided tour, which you can just turn up for. They start on the hour, but with a sizeable break for lunch. The guide speaks good English. Highlight of the tour is the large medieval kitchen.

After this castle was left in pity conditions by army during the war, Mr. Cini bought it and not only refurbished it, but also created a unique collection of medieval weapons/armours and furnitures, bought from all over Italy and Europe. The armory is amazing. And...More
