Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

every year for the last five years we have made an annual boat trip with Brendan and Ewan. It is the best, great fishing, sight seeing and fun. Wonderful, kind people, best way to get a real feel for the beauty of dunmore. Super friendly for families and a great experience fir visitors. Here's to many more memories.

Just back from this year's first trip out to see the whales with Brendan Glody of Deep Sea Charters Dunmore East, co. Waterford, Ireland. And see them we did! We traveled about 40mins out where the gannets were diving and the seals surrounded the boat feasting on herring and looking at us curiously. Three fin whales were spraying and showing their big dark backs as they were coming up for air. On our way we also sadly saw a dead killer whale. The evening was beautiful, not too cold (but we were glad to have brought our thermals, waterproofs and hats) and the waves were not rolling too much (though sea sick tablets and crackers and tea made things easier). All and all amazing experience for the whole family (including boys age 5 and 10)!

Just contacted them today about taking my kids out for a half day fishing trip. Seem like really nice people and they could not be more friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the trip.

Very disappointing day out, having waited a year to take the trip. Whoever wrote the blurb on the website has obviously never had the experience themselves. And that’s just the point: it wasn’t an experience. Having read through the website, we anticipated an experience that was ‘fun’, ‘friendly’, ‘informative’ and ‘memorable’. It was none of those things.
We didn’t even receive a ‘hello’ upon boarding. At no time did anyone tell us what we were doing/seeing, nothing about the area or the wildlife, absolutely nothing at all from the driver/captain.
An hour into the trip a young boy (about 12-ish) handed us fishing rods for half an hour fishing. He gave a super quick explanation of what to do, with no other chat whatsoever - nothing about where we were, the type of fish we could hope to catch, how deep it was- nothing!
This is a money-making machine - these guys have no interest in providing an experience for their customers. They take you out on a boat and let you fish for half an hour. That’s the height of it.
It’s better if you know what it is, that way you won’t disappoint your children or yourself.
Definitely would not recommend!
