Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow😮, what a breathtaking hairpin bend approach to a breathtakingly beautiful beach. The sandy beach scattered with rocks is lovely. Pity about the rubbish dumped in the small carpark though. I'm a firm believer in leaving no trace at our beauty spots so this saddened me greatly. My husband went for an 'invigorating' dip here. I watched with our two little ones. There was someone camping here, other swimmers, couples, families and dog walkers too. Lifebuoys in situ. Would recommend and will return but hopefully the rubbish will be addressed🤞🙏

Kinnagoe Beach is truly a little gem & is different from many of the beaches in Donegal in that it's smaller & more sheltered & surrounded by tree lined cliffs. It has very unusual sea worn rock formations, which are well worth exploring. The sand is golden which is typical of the fabulous beaches of Co Donegal. It's about halfway between Greencastle & Ballymagaraghy. Access is limited as the road is extremely steep close to the beach, so campervans beware!!

When your leaving Kinnagoe Bay take the costal road and follow it to Malin Head, fantastic scenery on route and walkways when you get to Malin Head.

Gorgeous beach, with the sun behind you and clear water; perfect for swimming followed by sitting on the rocks absorbing the whole place. A tight but short drive off the main road with a few hairpin bends - but the reward is a fairly deserted stretch of white sand. For me, the best spot is the far end, looking back towards the entrance, but that’s just being picky.
For those who care, there are no public amenities here - just fresh air and bracing sea. Snorkelling ok.

We were at a T Junction and deciding to turn left or right. The GPS said left to keep following The Wild Atlantic Way. A lady was just putting her dog into her car on the side of the road and saw the 4 of us discussing whether to go left or right and explore. She frantically waved at our car and pointed right so we followed her cue and went right. As we crept down the road heading downwards, we followed the curve and low and behold what a beautiful sight!!!

There was a beautiful beach with rock formations etc. It was lovely. We got out and walked around exploring. We were told there is a ship wreck off shore. Too bad we didn't bring our snorkels. I think it may have been a tad cold lol.

It would be a lovely place to go with family or friends and have a picnic and explore.

Tricky to access but this beach is worth it. Beautiful golden sand, very secluded and lovely water for a dip. If you are looking for a place for a picnic or just to stop and admire the scenery, this is it!

Yes, I love this secluded beach. The directions to it aren’t great, but it’s always quiet and private somit’s like your own private beach! Also, it is part of the Wild Atlantic Way, so it is well worth a visit!

Such a view from the Wild Atlantic Way. The beach stretches far and wide and the sand is golden. The sea is inviting but is cold.

Kinnagoe Bay is one of Inishowens most beautiful beaches and well worth a visit. It has panoramic views over the bay and has a most tranquil setting.Ideal for a pleasant walk or just chilling out and watching nature. The bay is surrounded by steep terrain and the road is a little steep so one should exercise extreme care while driving. The area is steeped in history and is the site of one of the Spanish Armada ships that sank in the bay La Trinidad Valencera.Cannons and artifacts recovered during excavation some years ago were donated to Ulster museum in Northern Ireland. The are on display at Derry Museum and well worth a visit.
