I visited the sanctuary on a Saturday and was surprised (and annoyed) by 2- 3 school group tour leaders using loud microphones in such a small enclosure. Not only they disturbed the animals with their noise, they disturbed other visitors too. I don't understand the need of using loud microphones in such small enclosure. A sanctuary is not a fun... We happened to visit the sanctuary at my 7 year old's insistence as he was not keen on shopping and going through the other historical places of our interest. It took about 40 minutes by taxi from harbor where our cruise was docked to the sanctuary. We had assumed that this place will have only butterflies but were quite surprised... More

* there is no interaction can be made with the rabbits, emu except for the koi fish. * it can be exhausting. You need to put more benches for old folks. * The ticket price increased faster than we expect it. * It's so hard to find this place. Need more signboard. I helped to organise a weekend trip to Melaka on 13 - 14 Aug 2016. We were arriving very early morning on 13 Aug and needed some activities to keep our group of 30 entertained. A colleague recommended this sanctuary, who was there the previous weekend. I looked at the website and the place very interesting and educational. I thought... More

Looking for something else to do in Malacca, we decided to visit the Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary. It is about 35 mins drive from the city. We get to be closed up with the butterflies. The more daring ones pose for pictures with butterfly on their arm. We also get to see 2 white peacocks and other birds. There are... More

I think the fees should be cheaper or free for local people (Malaysian). That would encourage more Malaysian to visit our 'Beautiful & Amazing Park'.

This sanctuary in the small city of Melaka came as quite a surprise. The butterfly park needs a special mention and it's one of its kind. Must visit place especially if travelling with kids or as a family. They have a quite interesting variety of reptiles and extinct species as well.
