It's like the photos - weird, unearthly and slightly disquieting. The setting, in a scooped-out glacial moraine surrounded by lofty peaks and with the blue waters of Lake Iseo below, is stunning. Gorgeous meadows brimming with flowers and butterflies above the Piramidi add to the...More

Not far from Marone (Lake Iseo). The round trip walk from the car park to the piramids will take you about 1 hour. The descent is rather steep, as well as the climb back to the village. It is however well worth the effort.

Outdoors person or not you need to marvel at what Mother Nature does. It’s hard to believe these huge boulders have not toppled down into the valley. Although many have over time. Many places to hike in the area with good footpath maps by the...More

We caught a bus from Marone to Cislano, where it's a fairly short walk to see the rock formations. They are very dramatic, and it was worth the trip just for the stunning mountains around them! You couldn't see them very well due to some...More

If you like hiking and if you are looking for some nice views on lake Iseo and the Piramidi, take the indicated Sentieri di Piramidi from the parking in Cislano. It took us something like 75 minutes to do the walk.
