I'm a little bias as I have family from this town however it doesn't change the fact the town has some amazing old buildings and the type of people that an over commercialised world has made it more and more difficult to find. You still...More

Vico is set in the hills of the Gargano Peninsula. Access is by road - no local trains. The old town is fascinating with small and tight alleyways winding their way between the cobbled streets.

When you think of ancient italy Vico comes to mind and it is a reality. Visit the old churches and walk in the streets of the old city. Have lunch at the local restaurants.

Vico del Gargano is amazing as it's an old village built into a rock. It still hasn't been touched by globalization.

Vico del Gargano is a good base to explore the Gargano for a few days. This town has all you need and some excellent bars and restaurants to eat at.

Great part of Italy if you enjoy the beach and forest combination. Nice old world feel and quaint old towns, altho the July peak visiting month makes the small narrow roads a bit busy and scary to drive along.

Vico is not your usual cute italian old town, but well worth a visit. The historical center is not cleaned up for the tourists, but mostly residential, including the castle. Mercifully free of souvenir shops and the like, plenty of chaotic little streets to get...More

We loved the way that the castle has been built upon and added to over the centuries, with people still living in or around it.
