Situated just off the main road in Howick just behind the quaint Howick Falls Hotel lies the tourist spot Howick Falls. The view spot sits to the left of the falls giving a lovely vista of this magnificent water fall. Sadly though the viewing area is surrounded by a park open to the general public where the consumption of alcohol... More

We hired a guide and hiked to the bottom. It was a nice hike and did not disappoint from any angle. Hope to visit again.

the area surrounding the falls was very clean and litter free and besides one or two cars with people milling around drinking[which i can just imagine would lead to pollution at a later point in the evening] i exited from my vehicle in the parking lot and made my way to the very well designed/built viewsite and despite there being... Beautiful location. Very popular with tourists. Lots of local crafts to be had in stores and stalls around the falls. Really nice coffee shop nearby and a really good tattoo studio if you would like a diferent souviner of your visit.

We had to wait awhile for the mist to clear before we could take in the beauty of the falls. While we waited we read the many stories written about the falls on the notice board, which... More

The Howick Falls are in the middle of Howick, very easy to access. The view is astounding, worth a visit!

I felt embarrassed to have taken overseas guest to this site. It was dirty and unkempt. In actual fact it was quite disgusting. The waterfall itself is beautiful and this could be a wonderful tourist attraction, at this stage I will not advice anybody to go to the trouble of visiting the Howick Falls due to the state of neglect.

First visit was pre-teen when our high-school arranged a visit into the Midlands and Howick Falls was on the itinerary. Have visited a few times over the years and there is a progressive decline to the attraction nowadays. Many street vendors selling their wares in the vicinity.Plenty parking and one just needs to keep aware and alert . Locals washing... More
