Not to be missed if visiting the Midlands. Handy parking, and a selection of gift stalls and shops nearby.

I'm amazed at the beauty of the Howick Falls. It's nothing short of majestic. One could sit and look at it for hours .... but sadly I did not feel safe enough to stay there for 5 minutes. Lots of vagrants loitering about, people drunk...More

Howick Falls was one of the highlights of my trip. The flow was heavy during my visit and the sight and sound of the falls was spectacular. I didn't witness vagrants or litter as others have complained of. The location was clean and I felt...More

The recent heavy rainfall have made the Falls worth a visit. Lots of interesting shops in the area. The downside is vagrants in the area, hopefully the municipality will improve the situation so as not to lose tourists.

It had been raining so there was plenty of water coming over the falls. The drop is long so it's a great site and sight. Sadly it isn't in the middle of nowhere so the surroundings are not all they might be.

Falls are a sight to remember, just a pity area around the falls not clean and tourism friendly, sure more could be done to make the visit even more spectacular.

The falls were flowing strong and were impressive but the rubbish around was not impressive. I cannot believe people will throw empty bottles etc over the view deck.

Howick Falls were magnificent after good rains. View site was clean but the area around is shoddy. There are ethnic craft stalls but these need to be fixed up, the Falls tearoom is no longer operational. The information boards need to be redone. This is...More

Located just off the artist street in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Province is the 310 foot Howick Falls which lies on the Umgeni River. The Zulus named the falls the "Place of the Tall One" and have declared that the falls is the evidence of a giant...More

Its a beautiful place to visit, ample parking available, hand made but unbelievable souvenirs sold at the roadside. The view is stunning, amazing that nature can be so beautiful.
