We visited as part of our trip to piedmont .I wanted to see a small working wine yard and could not find a better one.All communications by mail with Susan were cordial and clear. We found a beautiful view and lovely people. The wine was great and lunch-which we asked to be vegetarian -was lovely and tasty .we had a great time !!! Thank you Franco and Susan for opening your house to us😄and a big hug to Lola.

Amazing -- local family w/super wines.

Visited as part of a tour and had the best of times. The wines were spectacular...we bought many to take home. We also had lunch at the winery and it was so much fun. Franco's bride prepared a wonderful meal while he poured wine and sang (he was super). What fun. Go here.

What an amazing experience!

Since our first visit 2 years ago with Robert & Leslie, we've visited Franco and Susan two more times and this amazing experience just keep growing. Beyond the wonderful Barbaresco and Barbera D'Alba he produces, it's the whole spirit of this amazing couple that makes you feel at home, within a scenery in this wonderful Piamonte area that is priceless!!!

Bravo Franco! Bravo Susan!
Thanks allot Robert & Leslie!

We went here as part of our tour with Travel Langhe (Robert and Leslie). Franco's wine is incredible and we bought two bottles, one to take home and one to give as a gift. Franco has such a wonderful personality and his wife Susan is very kind and generous. Such an amazing visit!

Great visit
Dec 2013 • Couples
We had a great visit here with Franco and his wife. Franco seems to speak very little english but, despite this, his warm personality definitely came through. The lunch that his wife made was very good and, to echo royalgolfer's review, I also thought his 2009 Bricco Sterpone Barbera d'Alba was the highlight of the wines we tasted.

Top wine at a good price
Mar 2013 • Couples
Franco Rocca is passionate about his wine and his latest offerings are stunning. The 2009 Bricco Sterpone Barbera d'Alba in particular has less oak than older vintages and is more rounded and oozes ripe red fruit. This would be a top prize winner if Franco entered it into trade tastings. The Albesani 2009 Barbaresco is also a classic.
Only drawback is Franco speaks only Italian but his wife Susan speaks Spanish and is learning English but don't let that put you off visiting.
