Closed on Mondays. It is a little out of the way (compared to the Sibu Heritage Centre) but worth the visit. The landscape architecture is interesting, but this tends to be something you overlook when you are travelling on foot on a 40°C day. When I went there there was a young lady, one of the staff, who was very... More

A historical building above water. Somewhere worth to go as you can access the spiritual tree nearby which is rumored to be guarded by unknown things.

I like the place. Personally it's the highlight of my trip to Sibu. I find it very informative especially if you're in the medical line. The place is small. You can finish it around 30-40 minutes. It opens everyday except on Monday. Currently there is a construction around it. So don't get confused ya.

This was an old hospital, first hospital in Sibu, I guess, and was a training centre for the community nurse before it was transferred to the new hospital. You can see the pattern of nurses uniform changes from the British time until the most recent ones. Old machines and apparatus that was used. Just imagine you are under GA and... More

I finally been to this place, I am trying to visit all the listed attraction, partly because I am local and I would like to promote my small homeland. Local people be frank won't go to this kind of museum unless they have nothing to do. The building is the only remaining building of the Old Sibu Government Hospital. I... More

This museum is located in the only remaining building of the original Sibu Hospital. The museum is small but has a great variety of equipment and instruments used in the early days of the hospital. All item are clearly marked in English and the history of the hospital and staff are well defined. Highly recommended if you are visiting Sibu.

This is one thing to do in sibu where there is nothing to do. You must like 1950's hospital artifacts to enjoy this small museum. I did. About 15 minute walk from wet market

The hospital museum is opposite the Wisma Sanyan and beside the harbor wharves. There is a receptionist at the counter. The entrance to the museum is free and air-conditioned. After a walk around Wisma Sanyan and taking photos of the swan and statues around the wisma on a hot afternoon, it was refreshing and cooling to visit the museum. The... More

Being the first medical museum in Malaysia,it's a "must visit" place when you're in town. And not to forget, the LKH Hospital is among the oldest medical institutions in Sarawak, and it is the place where the second Governor of British Sarawak,Sir Duncan Steward received early treatment when he was fatally stabbed by Rosli Dhoby. Inside the museum, you could see the bust of... More
