It only takes 2 ferry ride and you're at the tip of Nova Scotia! Cute little island with the opportunity to go whale watching !

This small island is well worth the drive. The beauty alone will take your breath away and want you coming back for more. It has a couple small shops that area nice to browse through as you wait for your whale watching boat. Highly recommended....More

I think it would be very difficult and expensive to get there with public transportation. You will really need a car.
