Not for diabetics
Jan 2020
As a request for my wife's birthday we drove over an hour to get here, a trip well worthwhile, however when we got to this beautiful place I was slightly taken aback when the waitress said we don't cater for diabetics, she then proceeded to give us a verbal list of things they don't cater for, as a diabetic there was NOTHING for me, we ordered coffee for me and my wife had some of their beautiful pieces of cake and coffee. The waitress showed no interest to our situation when one ate and the other couldn't, pity really as the place is special.

A nice museum type castle
Apr 2018 • Family
The entrance is fairly cheap and totally worth it if you have an hour or so to spare. There are a lot of interesting things to see inside. There is a park right outside with a mini-golf course.

Nice relaxing visit
Apr 2017 • Family
The castle is very nice, a lot of rooms to visit for only 4E per person. It also has a coffee shop with a wide variety of cakes very tasty and reasonably priced.

A little world apart
Feb 2017 • Family
Glatt is reachable with a few minute drive from the A81 motorway but arriving in this village makes you understand why many areas of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) were for centuries a world apart... A valley with a river and this small village with a cosy castle surrounded by water. The castle has a long and exiting history. Before owned by the Von Neuneck noble family, then by the Swiss Muri abbey, then by the Hohenzollern, so directly from the Preussian ruling family. The castle is not that big but deserves a vist as it is literally filled with different museums: from some late middle-age armors to a section dedicated to the history of the territory and the castle, to another one focused on the peasants' life in the past to a fourth one with interesting works from artists who operated in the art school who was installed in the castle after WWII. Information and descriptions just in German, but normally it is not a problem. Finally, a Schloss Cafè with a curious but somewhat interesting interior decoration is ablsolutely to be seen.

Oct 2016 • Friends
In the area of the Black Forest, where a colleague went to Glatt as a child for cake thus we stopped by. Historical with the castle which is protected by water, a beautiful setting to sit out doors and enjoy the area as well the great cakes!
next door is a nice park area to walk about with a very old tree. Stop by for some history and great cakes!

A really nice and relaxing place in Sulz in the south of Germany. A small place to have some coffee or drink beer and also visit some nice local people.

Jul 2015 • Friends
An early morning in July we took a trip to Gant since we have been recommended this. The castle was closed at the time we where there but still worth a visit. We had a walk around the town and really enjoyed the visit
