Emotionally moving
Nov 2018 • Family
It was very moving to be inside this very old, simple, not gold filled church from before the days when the Catholic church was wealthy, where generations of my ancestors prayed before the family moved to the U.S. in the early 1900s.

A church to be visited and admired
Sep 2016 • Family
Been disappointed before when I tried to see inside in winter but this visit - well the frescos are something else. Don't miss this historic church - it is just a few minutes off the main road to Caramanico.

Worth visiting this church
Apr 2015 • Couples
This church can be found in the village of San Tommaso just off the main road connecting San Valentino and Caramanico Terme.
There is a car park situated by some repaired ruins next door to the church (sorry no idea what this building was) and is a very nice place to sit and take a break or have a picnic as there are benches available. The whole area has scenic views over the countryside, especially when there is snow on the mountains.
The entance to the church is carved with the apostles and is very decorative. The bell tower is found the left on the back. Entering the church it is held up with huge columns and one of these is smaller than the others and is protected by glass. There are 4 carved lions guarding the alter and the cryp t. Also there are frescos pained on the columns. Additionally you can go down into the small crypt (light switch on the right) where you will find a well which contains very clear water, also there seem to also be other carved remains of the building also stored there.
Well worth a visit.
