Talisker Distillery is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport in the village of Carbost. Come and visit us for a tour of the Distillery, see our 5 copper pot stills and the traditional worm tubs that make our Talisker so unique, then take a look at the casks in the warehouse where the Angel’s Share is lost to evaporation during maturation. Have a taste of our award winning Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky in our Visitor Centre.

Our tour began at 3 and we were the only Americans on the tour. The guide ensured that all could hear her, and understood her to the best of their abilities, and I could tell she took special care to repeat herself and annunciate. She...More

The tour was not available because it was off season but we were welcomed in anyway and given plenty of information about the whisky and a free tasting.

Located in a beautiful scenic location, the tour was both informative and entertaining. The guide answered all our questions and made whiskey interesting even for non-drinkers. Highly recommend as it is a true Scottish experience.

Family of 5 discerning adults found a warm and friendly welcome at the Talisker distillery on Skye. Cold and snowy beautiful scenery found the distillery hunkered down by the sea. A really enjoyable experience with excellent guide Joe. The only reason we dropped a point...More

A quite laid-back but very informative tour followed by a sampling of a couple of the Talisker versions of the 'water of life'.

Enjoyed our tour around the distillery. Our tour guide made the whole experience very enjoyable and informative. Had a small taster at the end and finished by visiting the shop and buying a gift box of 3 of their lovely whiskies.

We came early and booked a tour. We got a time slot in the afternoon. Used our pass to get the tour for free. We visited in the outer season though. Do not know if you can book online for free.
