Pint with football

A short stay just for the football and a few pints. The pints were great and the staff were more than helpful. Great place to go if you are in the area for a weekend.

The Widows Bar is a great spot. Cosy, welcoming and a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back! And some really impressive function spaces too.

Had no idea what to expect, except an old friend Brendan. Came from US with English and Irish friends non of whom knew Brendan, and they all loved him. Great Irish bar, great barman, great host. In fact my Irish friends from Kesh said they wish he would open a bar there. If anyone wants to see an old Irish... More

We were on the river and ended up spending two evenings at Widow's. Had a very congenial time both nights talking about politics, taxes, the Irish economy, and how bars differ across the world (esp the US...) with all the gents sitting at the bar. Great craic and hospitality all around. Brendan told us about his experiences tending bar in... More

A great pub. A great service always and a traditional feel. Irish music played regularly and a lovely fire burning. No better way to spend an evening

visited the Widows on a Friday night whilst staying across the street at the 7 Horseshoes - we asked if it would be possible to watch the rugby which was not a problem, Brendan also sorted out those in our party who required it access to the wifi network. All-in-all a plesant visit with good beer and friendly service.
