This attraction requires you have your own vehicle. The place is difficult to get in because the rough road and the lack of signs to get there. Once you find it, you will be there by yourself. We had to look for the caretaker and pay our fee with him, he told us that we should paid at the Casa... More

We saw about the place in a hostel in San Ignacio so we thought of giving it a try, totally worth it, the vegetation is amazing and the pieces of art are really something. We spend like four hours getting lost in the beauties of nature and art. I totally recommend it.

Well worth visiting; a varied collection sculptures by Belizean and international artists scattered throughout a former cattle farm, now regenerating into forest. Tranquil and captivating: you could easily spend a full day here exploring all its nooks and crannies. Highly recommended.

We read about this place in a guide book and decided to check it out, not really knowing what to expect. Well, it's exactly as it sounds....it's an outdoor museum where sculptures blend with their surroundings and will eventually be overtaken by them. The sculptures are spread throughout a bit of lush woods and there is a hiking trail that... More

I just love the ambiance of this art park located in a jungle forest on the outskirts of Benque. A must see when in Benque. Tickets can be obtained from the house of culture in town.

An amazing enmeshing of art and nature where art is married to nature and thus endures the elements of nature and changing the art as it ages. An amazing idea and one that is so different than the traditional methods of displaying art. It is a place where art doesn't need to be protected because its intention is to allow... More

You enjoy to be out of the beaten path of tourists and discover a lot of different sculputres within the jungle? Than this is the place to go for you - it's really worth the way and entrance fee! However make sure the House... More

Poustinia is an environmental art park situated a few miles from the Belize-Guatemala border in Benque Viejo del Carman Belize. There are dozens of in situ ‘earthworks’ scattered over acres and acres of rough terrain and jungle. Poustinia is art with an Indiana Jones wilderness spin. It is about trekking through the bush, busting a gut trudging up steep hills... More

Poustinia is very unassuming as you enter into the parking area and even though it was well described to us, we were not prepared for how diverse the art and the park would be. As we walked through the trails we were delighted at each turn by the insight and ingenuity of some of the sculptures and exhibits. Each piece... More

Poustinia is a very interesting art park a few miles south of Benque. Some of the 'exhibits' are quite weird, and would definitely fall under 'modern art' only. It made for a good half day excursion with the parents, who are definitely more into art than myself. Logistics for touring Poustinia are a little difficult, but doable. You'll need to... More
