Beautiful place but Anakena, the beach just next to Ovahe, is safer and magnificent! Also, there is a high risk of rockfall and they advise tourists not to swim there

you can't go wrong when you can walk on pink sand, have some cold pacific water on your feet, and look at Moai in the background. This is a place to relax, kick off your shoes, and grab a drink at one of the many bars. enjoy!

This is a little off the beaten track, but definitely worth a visit. The beach isn't really meant for swimming (as the signs warn you), but it is picturesque. There was someone there to check our tourist ticket when we visited. Directions: heading East from Anakena beach, it is your second left.

The best point to go with children is Anakena beach, very near of this beach, I recommend only this beach if adults want snorkel and also need to be professional at snorkeling , is not a friendly and calm water.

This is a beautiful beach with nice sand. In addition, it has historically restored Moai statues for you to admire. There is a coffee shop for snacks.

Less visited than Anakena beach, it is quieter. Access is more tricky. No shadow. No restaurants/bars.

Had the incredible chance to spend a few hours on Playa Ovahe and it was just amazing. It's a very small secluded beach tucked in the rock formation. The colors all around are phenomenal and do is the scenery. This is definitely a must do while on Easter Island.

This is possible the cutest most perfect little beach I have ever seen. Because it's off the beaten path, down a dirt road, with no signs, it's relatively quiet. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon there were 6 other people there. You have to walk across a field and then some rocks to get there but once you do,... More
