Nice gem

There are 2 sand beaches on Easter island: Anakena and Ovahe. Ovahe is more difficult to reach and pretty dangerous for swimming, but it's a charming spot.

I rented a 4-wheeler first day in to tour about on my own. Ended up here - you know what sand in toes is all about! Oh yeah!

Our house host told us about this beach and we immediately went to check it out. It's a nice little walk from the beach to one of the most amazing private beaches. The sand was beautiful as was the water. There is little shade around but going there was well worth it.

Beautiful place but Anakena, the beach just next to Ovahe, is safer and magnificent! Also, there is a high risk of rockfall and they advise tourists not to swim there

walk through the palms swaying in the wind, visit the statues and keep walking over the hill and there is this beautiful white sand beach. it's secluded but not private. it's obviously a favorite with the locals. so calm and refreshing you want to take your shoes off and walk in the water...yes, it's cold it october! i your lucky... you can't go wrong when you can walk on pink sand, have some cold pacific water on your feet, and look at Moai in the background. This is a place to relax, kick off your shoes, and grab a drink at one of the many bars. enjoy!

This is a little off the beaten track, but definitely worth a visit. The beach isn't really meant for swimming (as the signs warn you), but it is picturesque. There was someone there to check our tourist ticket when we visited. Directions: heading East from Anakena beach, it is your second left.

The best point to go with children is Anakena beach, very near of this beach, I recommend only this beach if adults want snorkel and also need to be professional at snorkeling , is not a friendly and calm water.
