It was more than five years ago that I last visited, so it was interesting to see how things have developed. They now have a new non-electrified line along an old railway trackbed so you can ride on a diesel tram, or in its trailer, for a couple of miles through the woods, then take the classic electric ride to... The museum is dedicated to the Belgian extra-urban tramway network, which was one of the wider in the world. The museum hosts several trams (electric, pretrol and steam coming soon) from almost a century in perfect state plus historical maintenance vehicles (off course working and still used for maintenance). The volunteer managing the museum are very kind and can explain... More

Your ticket lets you ride as many times as you like. The tracks run through the countryside. We came on the train from Charleroi. The train runs every... More

This museum holds about thirty restored trams from the former Belgian Light Railways (SNCV) in a new museum building. A petrol tram runs for about three km on a converted railway line, and an electric tram runs down to the river in Thuin and for about five kms to Lobbes. There is a little bookshop and a cafe, staffed by... More
