The cave is advertised as Han's little sister. In my opinion that is a bit overrated. Having said that, the guide really knew and told a lot, making it the best tour I ever had. Before you enter the actual cave they show you a...More

While weather wasn't ideal for a walk in the forest, we went underground. Although the visitor center is a bit basic, and in summer the parking lot could be just a bit small, the caves are wonderfull and much calmer than the nearby caves of...More

We gave this a try after the Grotte de Han - and enjoyed it a lot more. My son and I turned out to be the only two English speakers in the group - which is normally done in Dutch and French. The warm up...More

We visited the caves on a rainy day, and we went into the caves together with a tour guide, who was very experienced in the Han caves, but not in the ones of Lorette. He therefore had to look for light switches and so on....More

The cave of Lorette is a smaller, vertical cave overshadowed by its nearby big brother Han, but very much worth the one-hour visit. Unlike Han, this is a vertical cave, taking you about 70 meters down into the hill.

624 stairs, fun guide, great walk at ten degrees, originally we were going for a walk, yet it started raining so we hopped in the car and got to experience something unique in the world. Very good explanation by the guide, and a wonderful experience

This attraction is an easy walk from "downtown" Rochefort. Since it was the last tour of the day and October is far from the peak season, my daughter and I were the entire tour group. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable (and a really nice...More

We had planned to visit the bigger and better known Han cave but the place was packed, there were queues and parking was a nightmare. So we kept driving, saw a sign for Grotte de Lorette and made a spontaneous change of plan. Wonderful cave...More

Every cave has a personality and just like people, some are more likeable than others. This one was just average: nothing to write home about. If you've never been in a cave before then you'll probably find it pretty cool. If on the other hand...More
