This beach is stunning, it was a short walk down although a bit steep the way we walked and a little slippy for those with mobility issues, but there is another way into the beach which is more accessible. We spent hours here enjoying splashing...More

Spent a couple of evenings watching everyone enjoy the beach as the sun went down. Looked to cater for all - great beach and sea for families, great bar for couples! Loved it.

What a great beach, very clean & golden sands. This is ideal for families as there isn't so much surf here. There are toilets & tea / coffee etc available to purchase. We were staying staying within walking distance so easy access, there isn't much...More

A lovely little sheltered beach with soft sand and clear water. We parked in the railway station car park for £5.00 for the day and then it was a short distance down the hill. There is nice coastal walk into St Ives or you can...More

Lovely scenery from the beach and from the road going to it. Very crowded and rather crammed at high tide with all those tents and plastic walls that are as many eye sores. Water's 15 Celsius 🆒 mid-August at its best...it's Cornwall. Easy to walk...More

Carbis Bay is fab. Like a mill pond so very safe for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Really helpful and friendly hire company on the beach and not expensive to hire equipment. Good variety of beach shops but they are a bit pricey as all...More

Probably one of the best beaches in this area. Get there early to set up your pitch. This beach is very popular and gets really busy, especially toward the end closest to the facilities. Take a walk down the quieter end, there are caves to...More

The beach is probably one of the better beaches in the St Ives area and is (was) quite quiet. The good thing is that there is little surf due to the bay so swimming is easier. The only issue for us was the restaurant from...More

Think the previous answers are correct. However be aware that when we visited there was a huge amount of building work going on.

The hotel is at the end of the beach where the work is as well so if your house is at the far end you should be ok. Also the beach is very long.
