To those who rated this "terrible" need to get a better perspective on what this Viaduct is. It's not a bloody visitor centre with cake, coffee and free wifi at the base of it! This is one of Scotland's most amazing pieces of Infrastructure!! You...More

I'm not a HP fan so I don't get the big attraction. It's a lovely site, but not worth oohing and ahing over. The Romans have tons of these all over the place. Most are not still in use, but what I am saying is...More

Was happy to see the railroad that Harry Potter travelled. Unfortunately it was pouring but it was still worth it to see the train passing by with its white smoke, shouting out in the rain. From the view point you can see both the viaduct...More

I am surprised to see all the positive reviews so perhaps I just went on the wrong day but it was a really terrible experience trying to see this thing. To start, it is quite a bit of a detour with really very little else...More

While I wouldn't go out of my way from one of the big cities just for this, was happy to swing by on our way to Skye from Edinburgh. This was a worthwhile detour, particularly for me, being a Harry Potter fan. The view from...More

Good walk from the viaduct to the train station giving good views of the steam train go by. Midges were a pain but what do you expect?

Motored to Glenfinnan in advance of Steam Trip later in the week. Started at the station, which in itself is fascinating, especially the museum which gives great detail on the construction. Food available at the "Dinning Car Restaurant". Walked from the station over the hills...More

If you are staying anywhere near Fort William this is a must see, we got there for around 3.00 pm and we're told there were 2 trains going over one at 3.10 and one at 3.20 though not sure if that happens everyday but seeing...More

Brilliant place to visit, esp for Harry Potter fans! Wonderful walks and views, our dogs loved it. Also recommend the board walk which you access just across the road towards the Jacobite Monument. Recommend going early as car park was full by mid afternoon.

If you're a Harry Potter fan, it's neat to quickly stop here and take photos. My photos weren't great from the viewing area so I would recommend looking up other areas around the viaduct to get better photos. The train passes quickly so don't miss...More

Hi everyone, we are planning our family vacay in Scotland. Staying in Tarbert is the viaduct worth a special visit (we could combine with Oban) or should be go there on our way from Edinburgh to Tarbert or ...not at all ? Thanks.

It is worth a visit. and you can combine this with the Bonnie Prince Charlie memorial as they are side by side. Combine with Oban trip as you do not need to be here overly long. Enjoy your holiday.

What time are you able to see the train going on the viaduct? where is the best location with the best view? We need to catch the ferry over to skye at 4 so it would be great if we could see it passing well before then!

Sorry, i catched it accidently. But the best place is after crossing viaduct under it and getting to the hill. I believe You can google the times of train by searching: steam train glennfinnan
