If you have plenty of time in Bangkok or even Hua Hin, it makes a nice day trip to visit the market. If you do go, I would recommend to combine it with a trip to the Maekong Train Market. The floating market as such...More

It's a good place to spend an afternoon. Food and drink prices reasonable. The fireflies boat trip at sunset is an absolute must!

Whether is kinda hot when I was there. Booked a tour package, got to shop, eat, drink around. And last but not least took the boat in the evening to see the firefly. Although photo taking can't really see anything.

Amphawa Floating Market is a very traditional Thai Floating Market where you can find Thai local foods sold and canal boat rides there. A very small floating market.

1st time visiting floating marketing in Thailand and found the stuff & foods selling in reasonable price and the seafood quite nice and fresh. Understand this floating marketing open until midnite and the store in organize manner and clean place.

No direct route bus From BKK to Amphawa. Minivan depart hourly from Sai Tai Ma (BKK Southern Bus Terminal). One way ticket. 6/8pm weekday/weekend.

Hi, May I know what is the opening and closing time for Amphawa Floating Market? Is opened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 10pm?

It's opened on Fri-Sun during 3pm-9pm. If u will go on Friday, u should arrive there around 5 pm. It's better for Friday.

Most likely open everyday and the mornings and evenings are likely to be the best times to go but you should ask and check at a tourist office.
