Our guide Gustavo was excellent, very knowledgeable about the area and took us to many different spots to get a good view of the canyons. He spoke good English as our Spanish is very poor. The only downside to our visit was that much of the vegetation was thin because the area needed rain.

We hired 4 bikes from the 3 amigos. They were helpful in terms of providing diagrams of the route, advising about the time it would take, and level of difficulty. They provided helmets, puncture repair equipment, and offered gloves. However, their bikes only have 'male' saddles, and seemed quite lightweight for the task. Cheaper bike rentals were available elsewhere -... More

We thank you for acknowledging that our company was helpful in providing complimentary maps of the different biking routes, and that we went above and beyond in advising you on the time it would take and the level of difficulty of each route. We also thank you for acknowledging that we provide complimentary helmets, tool kits, locks and gloves as... More

4-canyon tour was superior in every way and indeed THE HIGHLIGHT of our 2-week Mexican trip. Canyon scenery is awesome and our guide Gustavo is simply the best. I especially liked having the van all to ourselves with no other tourists...allowing us to do and see what we wanted without compromise. Most of all I enjoyed playing with Tarahumara native... More

I rent a Mountain Bike from them and did the tour to the Rekowata Hot Springs. I managed to do the Arareko Lake, theValley of the Frogs and the Valley of the Mushrooms at the same day but you have to be fast. During my whole trip I didn't meet anybody besides some shy but friendly Tarahumara people. The nature... More

I was in Creel a few years ago and failed to leave a report. I had a private mountain bike tour with a very knowlegable guide who spoke english very well. We rode around the area for about 4 hours saw some local native villages, climbed to the top of some of the hills for some nice views of the... More

We have done a full day trip through the canyon, waterfall, lake, missions, valley of the monks etc with Gustavo. It was a great day, great lunch near the Urique River. Gustavo is a very good guide, he knows everything about Creel and the surroundings. We can recommend him.

On March 16 2017 my husband and I took a tour with The 3 Amigos. It was fantastic tour. Our tour guide Gustavo was great, knew so much about everything not just relating to his job. It was a very long day, we started at 8 am and were back in our hotel at 6:30 pm. The places Gustavo took... More

Super tour with Ivan - a total gentleman and such an amazing storyteller! Not only did we see all the fabulous places we wanted to see on our Copper Canyon tour, with plenty of unhurried stops for photos along the way, but he had us in fits of laughter with all his canyon country tales. His wealth of knowledge and... More

If you plan to visit the Copper Canyon of Mexico, which I highly recommend, book it with Three Amigos. Their service, hotels, and guides were all excellent. They suggest itineraries which can be modified to the client's wishes. I highly recommend this company!

Hi Tres Amigos and people who have travelled with them

We are planning a trip to the Copper Canyon in December this year as part of a much longer Central America and Caribbean tour. We usually travel quite independently but having read about 3 amigos we are thinking that maybe it would be good to travel with them if the price is within our price bracket.

What we hope to do is arrive in Los Mochis from Cancun in late afternoon on December 13th, travel to El Fuerte the next day, 14th December ( seems too late to take the bus that same evening). Then on Dec 15th take train to Bahuichivo to overnight- possibly at Paraiso del Oso then continue to Divisidero on 16th December. We are not interested in the adventure park there. We are in our late sixties, adventurous but not that adventurous! Therefore we thought just to stay one night at either Posada Barrancas Mirador or Divisidero Barrancas

After that we would continue on the train to Creel to spend several days. We are thinking of a trip to Batopilas, the valley of frogs, monks and mushrooms etc . How long should we need for this? We were thinking maybe 3 or 4 nights. In any case we plan to take bus from Creel to Chihuahua on 21st December, allowing maybe just half a day to look around before flying out on morning December 22nd as we need to make an afternoon connection to Guatemala City that day.

We will be very appreciative of replies from those who have recently done this trip and also from 3 Amigos who maybe could private message us a price for organising part or all of this trip for us thanks in advance for your help.
