Stunning dunes one of very few places you can park on a beach. N.R.W. do a fabulous job looking after it, nature amazing we saw lizards, red kites, cormorants gulls galore, had a fab walk on boardwalk then followed beach all around until back at the parking overlooking Aberdovey. Finished off with ice cream from a can on the beach

Really excellent nature reserve. Very informative and interesting visitor centre, telling you all about the area, and it's history and the current habitat. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sea, sand, sky, loads of space. The beach is never crowded and has the perfect slant for the kids to build sand castles and ditches and then watch them fill up. Maintained walkways, plenty of parking, the friendliest ice cream seller ever to drive a van, butterflies, birds, toliets and shop within walking distance. Great for kids, dog walkers, horse... I think this place should be far more advertised than it is, but I guess that's a double edged sword, more people might make it less beautiful.we discovered it by accident- you can park on the beach, and pay in the tourist centre (shop, toilets, info), there are wide sweeping vistas, huge sand dunes for the long walkers and swathes of... came here when we visited Borth. We came here late afternoon and wasnt too busy at all. We parked the car on the beach and had a wonder around. The dunes were lovely and the children loved them. If you love birdwatching this is a great place to see different types. The children had plenty of room to run around... More

Went here and had a picnic on the beach - very lovely. Spotting with rain when we went so did not stay as long as we could have, but a very enjoyable way to have lunch!

Hubby and I return here time and time again. It is a great place to walk off the cobwebs and the visitor centre has some interesting information for adults and children alike. There are also toilet facilities at the centre. The beach is long and sandy with plenty of room for cricket! It is possible to walk along the beach... More

We did a 7 mile walk from Borth to Ynyslas and back. We walked along the beach and then round the nature reserve before taking the road route back into Borth. What a wonderful and surprising walk. I guess we were lucky with a nice sunny day. The coast here is unspoilt and beautifully bleak in parts. Highly recommended if... More
