You will see that people have holidayed in Borth for about 150 years. Well, I've visited many times over the last 60 years so know the place well. Borth is a very rare village built on a shingle bank. The Station Museum was opened about 5 years ago (we were there for the opening!). Its open for the spring /... More

This small museum is housed in the restored station building and contains a lot of interesting historical information on the Welsh coast line and the renovation of the buildings back to their former glory after 30 years of neglect. Quite impressive that it was all done and continues to be run by volunteers. It's not worth making a special trip... More

My daughter and I had a look around the museum with great interest. The station is not manned so the museum staff are there to tell you all about the steam trains of yesteryear which was good to know. There are a few souvenirs you can buy too such as note pads and pens.Really memorable visit.

My family were staying in Borth on a weekend break and wandered into the station to find information about train times to Aberystwyth; we had no idea that there was a museum. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and my children were really fascinated. The work that the volunteers have put in is truly fantastic. Well worth popping in... More

As a family of myself, my teenage daughter, my parents and my sister with her five year old we decided to visit. It wasn't planned, and a spur of the moment thought as we walked past the top of the road. We were greeted by a lovely lady and when we asked " how much" we were told it was... More

The bittersweet feeling of leaving a holiday is always helped when traveling by rail from Borth because the view from the platform is amazing! What an inland vista. The Station museum is also facinating and you can tell is a labour of love for those volunteering to run it and well worth making a donation to.
