We came to spend the day but sadly this place is closed until 31st December for renovations. From what we could see it looks to be a great place to spend an afternoon with its own bar and sunbathing decks around the carved out of...More

Amazing to see the rollers crashing in to these pools carved out of the volcanic rock by the action of the waves. Unfortunately 'watch'was all we could do as the area was closed pending refurbishment / repairs.

This place is very grey and ugly. Rocks everywhere and the water is freezing. The water is an unattractive green-grey colour. We didn't understand what the fuss was all about! The views over the sea are nice, but certainly not above average. Really rather boring,...More

We drove for 45mins on a hot day to be let down. No information on any sites, no sign posts saying it was closed. Not until you drive down, park up, walk down the hill almost to the pools, then there was a barrier and...More

Looking forward for a dip in the pools of Charco Azul we were so disappointed to find out that the place is closed for renovation until the end of the year. The Charco Azul restaurant itself is closed to. Btw, te place looked great!

We went here as a side trip and loved it. The water is wonderful, cool and crisp. There is ample area to relax, changing rooms, and showers. Nice to see the sea crabs scurrying around the pool!

Considering that you only pay for the showers, this is wonderful. I do not know why people complain about it when without a shower it is free. There was a lifeguard on duty when we visited. It is not an inside swimming pool, so of...More

Here is a nice pool for swimming in the sea, but protected from the currents. It looks unfinished still. They are building a restaurant here and it looks like there should be chairs and beds here normally. Maybe later. Without them it's still nice. There...More

Access is by a steep path or steps (about 500 metres). Not really suitable for disabled who have trouble walking. The main pool is well protected and can be used even when seas are rough (as they were during our visit). It gets deep very...More

In April for me the water was too cold buy many people were swimming there. It depends on your temperature level tolerance.
