One hour jeep ride fr Sta.Cruz,Marinduque. Very kind staff. Place managed by d municipal govt. But no water after lunch n CRs dirty. We had to hose ourselves, taking turns with trickling water. Cheap entrance, cheap umbrella wd chairs cost 200 only. Cheap family cottage. But with the powdery sands, clean crystal water wd Mtm Malindig as backdrop, who cares? Love my short... More

We visited the Marinduque Poctoy white beach last May 26, 2016. The beach is situated in Torrijos, Marinduque about one-hour ride from Sta Cruz municipality. It is one of the famous beaches in Marinduque (especially among the locals) due to its unexploited beach front, white sand and blue waters. The place is not well developed; it has few cottages and... It's quiet when you go towards the north. This is a touristic area. Not fully exploited. You can rent a room in airbnb.

A popular beach in the island of Marinduque, the place can get a bit crowded during peak season but not to the extent that you cannot have a little peace and quiet if you want to. Despite the many visitors, the beach is quite clean. When you arrive, you will be greeted by white sands and blue waters. What else... More

Its creamery off-white sand, the clear blue water, and the very nice view of Mt. Malindig makes Poctoy White beach one must in Marinduque.

I chanced upon Poctoy on my first trip around the island, on a rented van. It was like casing the joint. Thus I concluded this was a nice spot to return to, and I have returned many times, and have suggested this to friends. It is a public beach, so do not expect amenities. Even the shower stalls sometimes do... More

If you do not plan on leaving Marinduque island, I guess this would be an alternative. There is a minimal entrance fee, cottages, stores selling snacks and other food. View of Mt. Malindig is breathtaking from this side of the province.

Made the mistake of going to Poctoy for Holy Week. Very crowded and beach was dirty. Sand is not white but light brown similar to Puerto Galera. This is a public beach and not well maintained. Water is turquoise green but not clear. Lots of litter floating on the water. Could've been a nice beach with Mt Malindig in the... More
