If you have ever wondered how cocoa is grown, this is where to find out. The beginning of the road to the plantation is made up and leads you into a false sense of security. After a short distance it changes into a VERY rough uphill trail. Eventually you arrive at the entrance. The plantation is operated by only 2... More

Interesting tour which explains the cocoa growing & harvesting process. Samples of chocolate at end & opportunity to buy. From windward Rd or Roborough-Parlatuvier Rd follow signs to argylle waterfalls & when get to a junction there's a sign there (it's the road that heads west). Road soon becomes unpaved & heads uphill so make sure your vehicle is capable!... More

Went 3 separate times for tours! First time, we found out only tours on Fridays from 9-11 a.m, second time we went at 10:00 and they did bring us down to one building and we waited 10 minutes, until another person told us no more tours. Third time we went for 9:15 a.m and sat outside gate for 45 mins... More

This plantation is quite newly established and is a really interesting place to visit if you are on Tobago. Umbrellas are provided in the event of rain. The guide gave us a full picture of how cocoa is grown and harvested and of course we were able to see everything first hand, from the early pods to the ones having... More

We sent an e-mail to Duan and he responded quickly saying we were welcome for a tour Friday 30/12 at 11 pm. It was a little tricky for us to find the way... We asked the lady by the hut by the main road for directions. It would have been Great If there would have been signs for the Cocoa... More

Good area to see where a typical chocolate bar comes from. The drive takes you about a mile and a half uphill on a gravel road. The owner Mr. Dove himself gave a very thorough explanation of the growing on cocoa all the way to harvesting the pods, fermenting and roasting the beans to shipping to their chocolatier in France.... We decided to visit the plantation on an off season Saturday morning and were disappointed to read online that it was closed. I sent a PM on Facebook hoping someone might be there.....and within 15 minutes, the owner Duane Dove, responded and said come on over with our group of nine. He met us at his gate and proceeded to... More

We got a warm welcome. Harry the guide is an expert and was able to provide the French group with all the technical information that they sought. This island was the last stop of their exploratory visit to the Caribbean and they declared that this estate was the best experience that they had had. They complimented the owner for the... More

Turn off the main road where you see the waterfall sign. Drive through the estate to the gates of the farm. There is not a lot to see, but the location makes it an enjoyable hour. Check first as the opening hours are erratic. The chocolate at the gate is more expensive than buying on-line. I recommend you try the... More

A well managed and informative guided tour around the garden and a part of the cocoa estate. We had very knowledgeable guides who were also very welcoming. We learned about the creation of a plantation and the essential elements of crowing cocoa plants as well as the fermentation and drying process. Beans are exported to a world class chocolatier. Highly... More
