Hirafu is a cute village. Very safe. Easy to find fun, food (grown up dine in, lively dine in, family friendly dine in, take away or cook at home) and accomodation (all levels). Ski in/out is limited but the walk to the family run lift or gondola isn't too taxing. Rent gear from Vale or Larry Adler and they'll store... More

We loved this mountain! We're beginning snowboarders, so this was the perfect mountain to learn on. Although it's quite crowded, there was never a long wait for the lift and we had a great trip!

10 days and we had the best time. Caters to all abilities. Kids had a great time. Facilities on mountain were great and can't fault. Have skiied around the world and it's up there as a great place to visit and we'll be back. Had good weather so was able to see the beautiful surrounds kids loved the terrain park... More

Loved the mountains, enjoyed excellent snowfall. Magical place at night also. The township has excellent choice of restaurants and it's easy to get to the gondola or chair lifts via regular shuttles.

Although snow conditions over the last two years have not been ideal, Nisseko resort and the surrounding mountains are known for some of the best powder and snow board trails in the world. Tourists from all over have contributed to different lodging options and prices. Many of the locals speak a bit of English and the surrounding areas have some... More

Great powder indeed. One of the best places I have every experienced. Tree skiing is wonderful and there is lot of variety in the four areas. You can go up high (all relative as the peak is on 1300m) or stay low depending on the weather. The off piste skiing is extremely well organized with the 'Gates' leading you into... More

This hill offers a wide variety of terrain and great ski conditions. Runs are short but so were the line ups.

Niseko has become the destination of choice for powder skiing aficionados from all around the world. Great tree skiing and off-piste experience. stay away from the lower slopes as they are crowded with first time skiers...

Good selection of runs but could be served by better trail marking signs. Also, if you are coming from the Niseko Gondola side be prepared for a hike to get over to the Hirafu slopes side. A magic carpet or some other sort of helper conveyance would be a wise addition (Attention management).
