Beautiful little island but likely to be an ecological disaster given the rate it is growing. Worth the ferry over from langkawi, its special.

The unregulated growth of tourism here has definitely impacted the island negatively. Reefs have been damaged and destroyed by beginner snorkelers standing on them and kicking them. Trash isn't as bad as some places in SE Asia but it is still sad to see the...More

This is how I'd always imagined a tropical island to be - and I wasn't disappointed. After a boneshaking boat ride from the mainland (with a load of Thai tourists who couldn't swim...it was amusing!), we arrived in paradise. White sands, warm clear seas with...More

One of the best white sandy beach and crystal clear turquoise water. Beautiful corals and marine life. Pattaya beach is highly recommended if you are travelling with families and friends where you could get all the activities. Busy but not overcrowded. Many nice restaurants (Plenty...More

Some beautiful beaches and a super place to book long-tail boat tours from which superb snorkelling is possible. The island is developing quickly and some areas are very squalid. Hotel prices are high considering the service.

We arrived in Langkawi on the 9th of May, after researching ferries times we were forced to stay the night because high season had finished at the end of April not May 15. All good, the ferry attendants were very helpful, with free wifi and...More

Can be rated as the best island in the Thailand. Easy to reach by boat from PakBara ferry terminal. And the best is this island is open for all seasons.

Nice beaches, nice snorkelling trips, easy and enjoyable! Walking street with restaurants makes it easy to get between beaches, and I think we never will forget the animals (mostly taken well care of) and the yoohoo lady as well as the enchanting "donut, cocnut, ten...More

I like Koh Lipe for a multitude of reasons but the squalor spoils the enjoyment. The dumping of rubbish is a real concern and the resultant mosquito problem is I believe because of that. The sea is beautifully warm and the sand very soft but...More

Come to JK Blue Thai Massage. They tell you everything you need to know. Owners are Thai/Swedish and are very helpful. You find them on sunrise street, close to Mali resort and Barracuda bar & restaurant

There is an immigration office on the island (east side of pattaya beach, in front of police station) where I think you can do this. However, it's only open during high season.
