I have just visited this beautiful reserve and thoroughly enjoyed my walk around with my two humans. There is a section near to the visitor centre where my humans needed to be on a lead due to the presence of bird life - and this...More
Been to Nottingham lots of time but this was our first visit to the Nature Reserve. It's easy to find and park, parking is plentiful and costs £3. We took our dog and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 shorter walks, it's beautiful, paths are good and...More
I live locally so regularly visit the nature reserve. The reserve itself is excellent, well maintained habitats and lovely to walk around. It's a bit annoying when it floods, there is no notice at the car park to suggest limited access, but it doesn't happen...More
Visited the nature reserve whilst staying in nearby Long Eaton. What a beautiful spot. We took the short walk around the small lake and along the river trent. The walk is mainly over flat ground with excellent pathways providing plently of room for both pedestrians...More
Lovely here with some pleasant walks along the sides of the lakes. Saw many birds. Beautiful in the evening sunset. Free parking just before you reach (pay and display on site) and a nice cafe/shop. Would definitely return.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash, they are not allowed in the visitor centre and cafe but if you walk along the river to Beeston marina you will receive a warm welcome at Steve's cafe and bar where there is Outside seating and a water bowl for dogs. You can do a nice circular walk back through Attenbough village to the main car park. Hope this helps.
