Miyako's cooking class is a must-do if you are in Japan and want to learn how to cook delicious Japanese food at home. She makes the recipes easy to understand and answers any question you have. We've already had two classes with her and we can't wait to visit again and have our third! Miyako thanks again!

This was such fun! Me and my girlfriend Claire were travelling around Japan for two weeks and this the perfect antidote to walking all day in the cities and towns. Miyako and her husband met us at the train station and gave us a warm welcome. Miyako's English is excellent and she trained as a chef in Europe for several... More

My Wife and I made arrangements with Miyako to take a cooking class at her home. We took the train from Osaka to Ikoma station where Mikayo and her husband met us and drove us to their very lovely home. Miyako has not only studied cooking in Japan but in Europe and has worked in the industry as well. My... More

Highly recommend visiting Miyako. The food we prepared was amazing and we learnt a lot about cooking with Japanese ingredients. Since returning home a week ago we have tried three different Japanese dishes at home, something I would not have been confident to do before. Miyako speaks perfect English, so you can learn about the country as well as the... More

We took a cooking class in HANEZU on my birthday in September, 2013, it is a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Miyako San speaks fluent English and everything is well prepared and well organized. We made Tempura, Japanese egg custard and braised meat with vegetables, the food we made taste just as good as a the one in the restaurant, it's... More

We enjoyed our sushi cooking lesson with Miyako so much! She speaks good English and is so well organized and professional. It feels as she has thought through every little detail of the lesson. At first we were picked up from the train station, then greeted in a traditional tatami room and served green tea. The cooking itself felt so... More

Today was so much fun - I would insist upon anyone who is stopping in Nara to visit Miyako for a cooking class! My wife and I went (we're in our mid 20's) and had an awesome time. Everything was explained very well, it tasted amazing and we had some great conversation. This is a must do!

It was very pleasent to learn about the Japanese cusine in an ordinary japanese house. Miyako knows very good english and explained everything in a good fashion. We also learned a bit about japanese tradition. You feel very welcome.

We found out about Miyakos cookery class in Nara by accident and we are very greatful for that! It was an amasing experience that spiced up our already exciting journey through Japan. Miyako had a couple of menues to choose from (presented together with pictures on her website) but she was very flexible about mixing it up a little. She... More
